Learning to move safely again
We help patients learn to move again after an accident, illness or surgery. This usually takes place on referral from the orthopaedist, neurologist or other hospital specialist treating the patient. Along with the patient, we work responsibly on regaining the mobility and stability of both muscles and joints.
Plexus Amsterdam helps with regaining mobility after:
- operations on the back, shoulder, knee or ankle
- hernia
- overview of orthopaedic complaints
What does our rehabilitation procedure involve?
In consultation with you and the specialist who is treating you, we draw up an exercise programme that will get your mobility back to the level you want. The programme may include specific physiotherapy treatments. Under supervision, you will do specific muscle and joint exercises. Step by step, we work on improving the load-bearing capacity, strength, condition and coordination of muscles and joints. Plexus Amsterdam has exercise rooms with rehabilitation equipment, so that our therapists can guide you throughout the whole rehabilitation process.
